Direct thermal printing
Direct thermal printing — printing on special materials with the help of thermal head. Under the action of temperature thermal-materials change the structure and color.
The main advantages of direct thermal printing are the following:
- working simplicity;
- using of one consumable material;
- high reliability;
- vibration free, low noise printing;
- relatively reasonable price;
- printers for direct thermal printing are compact and portable;
- comparably high printing resolution.
Direct thermal printing is used in label printers, bar-code printers, cash registers, fiscal registers, receipt printers, fax machines, scales with label and bar-code printing.
