The Caston-III product range includes the following models: 3 THD, 5 THD, 10 THD, 15 THD, 20 THD, as well as 50 THD and 100 THD. All models can be supplied with a radio communication option. The 5 THD model is rarely ordered with a radio module; availability should be уточнена at the time of order. It is possible that this model may not be in stock and will need to be manufactured upon request.

Currently, crane scales with radio communication are becoming increasingly popular. In addition to remote operation (150–500 m), the radio channel allows integration of crane scales with a computer system, enabling automatic data transfer to accounting software and monitoring of weighing operations via video surveillance.

Models 50 THD and 100 THD are manufactured upon request. Production and delivery time may take up to 90 working days. A 70% prepayment is required to place an order with CAS manufacturing.

CAS Caston-III crane scales are designed for weighing loads lifted by a crane. Weighing is static — for accurate results, the load must be suspended without movement. Accurate measurement during motion is not possible. For liquids or unstable loads, an averaging function is available.

The industrial protection rating of Caston-III is IP65. The “6” indicates complete protection against dust, while the “5” means the scales can withstand water jets of non-aggressive liquids. CAS Caston-III crane scales can be used outdoors in all weather conditions: rain, snow, hail, and dusty environments. However, the scales must not be submerged in liquid.

For certain crane hooks, an additional adapter ring may be required (typically for 15 and 20-ton models). This ring is supplied separately with the necessary documentation and certification.

The hook is equipped with a spring-loaded safety latch, ensuring fast and secure load attachment. For permanent rigging (e.g., slings), a special hole is предусмотрено for installing a locking pin. The hook mounting is articulated, allowing rotation around a vertical axis, which protects the load cell from lateral torsion and improves measurement accuracy and durability.

The battery compartment cover is hermetically sealed using latches and screws. A rubber gasket provides protection against moisture and dust.

Please note that the battery compartment contains the main power switch, which completely disconnects the power supply.

If the scales will not be used for a short period (up to one month), it is recommended to switch off the power using this switch. If the downtime exceeds one month, the battery pack should be removed and periodically recharged. Avoid deep discharge both during operation and storage.

The official verification seal is located inside the battery compartment. Metrology specialists may also place verification marks on the front panel.

Caston-III crane scales support all standard functions: gross/net/tare weight display, tare deduction up to 100% of capacity, automatic zeroing, averaging for unstable loads (wind sway, liquid movement), and weight summation.

To extend operating time, a power-saving mode is available (display off or auto shutdown). Shutdown time can be configured. A front panel indicator signals when the battery requires charging.

The scales are supplied with two battery compartments. One includes a battery, while the second requires a battery purchase. This allows flexibility: if multi-shift operation is not required, costs can be optimized.

For 24/7 operations, interchangeable battery packs are highly convenient (one in use, one charging). In terms of continuous operation, the CAS Caston-III is a leader: battery replacement takes about 30 seconds. To access the compartment, simply open two latches. For humid or harsh environments, additional fastening with bolts is recommended.
